Hi,
My current EAD will expire in September 2008. It is applied through Company A. I want to change my employer in July to Company B. But I would think during
that time frame I would have already applied for my EAD renewal.
Can I transfer to Company B during this renewal process?

I do not beleive that EAD is company specific, it is yours like a green card, they will not ask anything whilre renewing green card.

USCIS has been sued by Citizenship hopefuls for a reason which applies to us all. The process took longer time than expected.

What if we sue USCIS, if not USCIS then some other Fed agency. Least of all, it capture the nation's attention that IV badly needs and make it a mainstream issue just like illegal immigration.

... for your help! Now, what do you guys think about getting paid until the end of June by the 1st employer (but at the same time starting to work inofficially i.e. observing only for the 2nd employer) and then going back to work for a couple of weeks for the 1st employer but staring to get paid by the 2nd so that it's fair for both? Would that be legal? If not, there really isn't a good way to deal with this since the new H1Bs are valid not before Oct (if i'd apply for 2 H1Bs), right? I obviously don't want to jeopardize my visa to make my old employer happy so don't want to do anything that's not completely OK in that regard....
In regards to the timing of a petition for a transfer (leaving all the other stuff above aside for a moment), let's say i'd like to start at the new employer 1st of July - to be on the safe side I should get a lawyer, plan a week for them to get the petition ready and then i'd have to wait a couple weeks for the receipt notice (which then allows me to work for the new employer, correct?) - so that would make it 3 weeks?

I called USCIS customer service number and asked If I can speak to that specific adjudicator customer rep directed the call to another Officer and that lady understood the issue and mentioned that I should have called before i saw denial notice she might have helped by reviewing the decision made by adjudicators but now is too late and asked me to follow the steps mentioned on denial notice which is appeal.

I have given up hopes of getting an H-1B through the Master's quota. I applied on April 4. So there are no hopes anyway.
Now how can one get an H-1B through a non-profit organization. My understanding of this process is not very clear. I was under the impression (wrong impression!!) that if I can get a job at a Non-Profit place through a consulting company(I am an employee of the consulting company and not the Non-Profit org) and because my workplace is at a non-profit organization, I can get an H-1B that qualifies as one that belongs to the Non-Profit H-1B category.
Please clarify. I am trying to understand this clearly.

No one is "tearing families." Restricts family immigration to just spouses and children under 21. No more uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces. If people want to come they need to on their merits. Think about LPRs who have to wait years on end to even get their spouses in.
"And for those who think CIR failed which is good for us - just think about the 12 million illegals and walk in their shoes - what goes through them - CIR is their only hope."
No one said CIR failing was good for us because it provided relief for illegals. No jealousy here sir. We wanted CIR to fail because in 'saving' illegals it screwed us. If the illegals took a risk in breaking the law its their burden to bear. Moreover, asking the basic question of why illegals and why not legals should be a part of debate. I believe, our interest is best served by strongly differentiating ourselves from the illegals. Lets do without the socialism.

My friend got into this situation.
He had EB2 Labor approved with PD 08/2005 and I140 approved.. He is in final six months of his H1.
Now, interestingly his EB3 labor from Previous employer was just approved. However, he is no more working with them. But could convince them to file I140 for the apprvoed EB3 (which is PD 09/2003). and would like to Port the PD to his current EB2 with his present employer.
Did any oone of you experienced this and if so, can you please share your experience..
What are the Dos and Donts for this case.. Appreciate your replies.

As per last action rule, you might have violated the H1 status, by continuly working with L1, after CIS approved the COS application. Perhps, the violation might have been reset by your fresh entry with L1. As your family is not with you, better consult an qualified attorney.

DOS and USCIS are slow. But it would be really helpful if the IV code team can provide some update on our site. I believe over 2.5 hours have passed since the last update regarding some update in 1 hour. I guess we can't do anything if it takes more time but an update always helps! Thank you.

After seeing United to Secure America's lobbying expenses- 600K, I feel we are very lucky to have achieved so much within a meagre amount. I am sure lobbying is very expensive and there was no way we could have hired a firm. We should thank QGA to have agreed to help us out.
