After two years in the US, I told my employer that I want to file for GC...
Going to and fro he spent 8 months sayign that he is in the process of doing it...Then he gave me the papers to sign...After that he kept telling me that the lawyer had filed it for one and a half year...In April 04 employer changed lawyers...The new lawyer tried to find all cases at the DOL...My case and one of my friends case is 'missing'...They telling me that is old lawyers fault.....They told us to file a new cases...I am sitting around since July 04.....I am so sick of this whole thing.....
July 04 was my chance to change job or go back...I decided to stick with the job...my bad...Now I am really stuck.....Am waiting for 8th year extension...Wife finishing MS in May and baby on way....I am stuck with dead end job...not well paid......

How about we come up with a skit where we can reenact the drama about the whole episode in a funny way. Where we can have people portraying roles of USCIS Director, Secrtary of State, Immigrants calling franctically to India to get their documents, parents running around to get doucments, the start of rumor, the employees of uscis working on sunday to adjudicate the cases, then the flip flop of DOS. etc. Then we can put this on youtube and will attract publicity.

ok suri, while you work 30 hours and make money for yourself, let me take your burden and share my research with you. Here is what you have to do to see the result -
Goto -

- check box for client name
- click 'submit' button
- enter 'Immigration Voice' in the client name
- click 'submit' button
Now you see the amount spent by IV for lobbying in the Senate documents. Please do the total and let me know how much is that amount. I am not "highly skilled" like you, so I can't calculate?
Do you know anyone who spent 1/2 million on lobbying for our issues. Maybe your friends have spent that money.

Its good to see this thread is still active. I just came home after 30 hrs non-stop work due to our product launch. I did go through quickly on all the posts after my post and I really didnt get the point I was looking for. I will respond to each of you tomorrow in one post.
The response I see for any type of campaign in the form of contributions is pathetic, based on the number of people waiting and those who are active. We will go nowhere, but this must change, and we will help.
I will now have to sleep for 5 hrs and then go back.

I think we should go to USCIS/DOS office. But problem is we have to do this on weekdays and most of member won't be join on weekdays because of work.
If we do on weekend then we will get more response but then offices will be closed unless they working on weekend as they did last weekend.
There are a lot of people in DC like me. The permissions depend on which part of DC we want to rally.
Do we want to rally around the capitol meet congressmen and senators in the immigration sub committee?
Do we want to go to offices of USCIS and DOS and request to consider the first VB?
As some one has said, there has to be a poll on the home page and if we have to tip off media ahead.

A relative has invited me to be an immigrant to Manitoba. But currently we are derivative beneficiaries of my wife's EB3 visa and she is already in the US for 1 1/2 years as a lawful permanent resident.

I am a 2 July 2007 filer. Many SR's and calls later no FP.But I applied for EAD and AP renewal last week.I got the FP notice in mail today.
So I think that the renewal may trigger a FP notice.

My friends check encashed today from TSC. His Attorney send application (6/20) to NSC and received there on 6/21.
So long way to go... I am not sure next weekend estimate will also hold good for July 2nd filer. :) Don't kill yourself and it will not make it faster.:D :D :D
Most of the applications are going to NSC but TSC is the one which is slow. I do not understand the reason. It seems their boss (Mr. Gonzales) sits in NSC, so they do not do any work. Does any one have any idea why TSC is so slow.
If it goes like this, it will take a century to get EAD and AP itself.

Been in the US since 1998, have an EB-2 PD of 2001, have played by the rules all along. Still no GC... And, the dates are going back to 2000 from the new year.. I've lost hopes...
I'm pretty close to getting clinical depression because of this game played by USCIS, Labor Dept, FBI and my own bad luck.
SKILL bill, OMNIBUS, etc. comes and goes. IV does seem to be doing things to lobby for the community, but let's face one reality. Like a news article said, no one in congress or senate wants to touch immigration even with a long pole until 2009.
The US has been very good to me (other than the GC part), more than my home country (India) which is why I'm still here.

Just finished sending the emails.It was very simple and the email from LogicLife was good one...
Used the autofill option and it was really very easy to do that...
