I was looking at the comments of one "sodepressed" in the Ron gothcer's forum..I am feeling really bad for this guy..I dont know what logic USCIS follows..but I assure you EB-3 I will fight for fair share and get it..with in 140 K numbers or thro Visa recapture #'s..first is to highlight our problems..so lets do it in creative ways...

Where the hell all these guys when EB3 is getting 80K to 100K of total 140K visas all these years and EB2 is getting just merely 10%-15%. Nobody from EB2 didn't felt jealous like this before. It is hard to digest for them now.

You can view my past posts in IV, I am not Desi employer but I may become very soon to employ myself (very close to get GC :-) )
This is not a personal advice but general appeal to all would be employers.
I hope you have researched and understood obligations of an employer.
By virtue of owning the business and taking 100% of returns, the employer has to assume 100% risk.
If not on revenue sharing with employee ( 80-20 etc) , the employer has no business of NOT paying on bench. Either the employee is on rolls or has to be advised to take LOA or let go.
For other unprofessional tactics, there is simply no excuse. Employment is at will. If employers cant deal with that, too bad. They should not be starting the business.
I have worked with Desi employers who have consistently run on best practices and completely adhering to law of the land. It can be done and the cost of doing that has to be factored into the business plan. If it is too costly as per your financial numbers, then you are not ready for it financially.

"Mind my language", clearly this must be a case of lost in translation. I am not entitled more or less, IV can close shop today, I did not come to the USA because there was EB1/2/3 or IV fighting my battles, enjoy your journey. Unless and untill everybody in EB3 has contributed ataleast a $1000.00 to the immigrationvoice cause, its waste of time to discuss about the EB3-India movement. Any way we have to spend a lot more than $1000.00 in renewing EADs, H1Bs and H4s.
Otherwise just wait and pray for the CIR bill to pass. Then every body in the EB category will get the benefit being the EB3- India/China are the greatest benefitters.
How can contributing $1000.00 to immigration voice solves this problem? You are telling like a swami's in India, give me money I will do some pooja on your behalf and all your problems will be solved.

Holy cow... I cannot believe, I got my green card today...
My online case status changed to card production ordered today (1 hour ago).
I had filed during july fiasco and was not abel to send my medical tests , so had got RFE.
Then i took the medicals and sent the response in july 2009, and the status remained RFE response received for a long time.
I called NSC and opened a service request on Aug 18.
Guys believe me Service Request does miracles, they just approved it now.
So my journey came to an end after 7 years.
If I got green card, the whole credit goes to IV. You guys are really great, learnt a lot from this forum. Kudos to you all...
I will continue to visit these forums and help as much as I can.
I still cannot believe I got it.

On aug 9 th, USCIS nebraska center issued a total of 4063 receipt nos for 485, EAD, and APs.

From this, if we assume ~4000/day, it ll take 20 working days to clear july 2nd filers (~80,000). My guess is by 31st Aug.

I have a electronic mail from them with the 140 receipt Notice (as PDF)
from USCIS.. I took the LIN number from there and Queries USCIS - they says USCIS received my App on May 15th and under processing....
I took a Print out of that 140 receipt Notice and will attach with 485 Application... My approval will not come before Jan-Feb 2008.
Just wanted to let you know, if your 140 is pending, you will have to submit the receipt notice and also the copy of labor cert showing the PD. Read page 4 below the NSC mailing address.

I took an infopass appointment today. The IO sent an e-mail to NSC after taking details like DOB, address etc. for me and my wife.
btw, FP for us has been scheduled. Looks like they have some kind of a queue for that but a notice has not been sent out.
So that was it. Am going to wait it out patiently.

Shall try again sometime this week or next and update the same here. I am a NSC->CSC->NSC transferee.

When did u apply for your ead? i am in the same boat and have filed for paper based EAD. hope to get my fp notice soon.
I applied for my EAD and AP renewal on the second week of May 2008. Again, I am not sure if EAD or AP renewal triggered the FP notice. Good luck to you.

All mine and my spouse's applications were transfered to Vermont. my I-140 was approved from TSC. My checks were cashed on July17th and that is how I know that it is pending at VSC.
Yesterday I got an email that Card production ordered for EAD. All applications applied on July 6th. I am not sure on what basis they transfered. But it looks like Vermont has started approving the EAD cards. Hopefully, I will get it soon too in the mail.

I apologize if the post sounded discouraging / instigating to members. I do completely support IV team, particularly because it is a collective decision made by a dedicated group which certainly would be much more wise than what I think with my limited awareness on this whole issue. Yes indeed as somebody pointed out--if the backlog is removed completely there would not be a need for H1b 3 year renewal.

Good luck..I filed everything on the 14th of Aug; for 485 I think the fees was 395; for EAD 180 and AP 170. all together 1490 for 2...1165 seems a little weird because first of all 1165 is not divisible by 2 :)); I guess based on old fee structure, 485 is 325 plus 70 biometric fee
