I have read in these forumns that USCIS wasted around 11,000 visas in 2007. The way things go, they will waste another 10,000 visas during this year also.
Stopping this wastage should be our #1 priority. But nobody seems to care about this point. Even Murthy during her discussions with USCIS does not seem to be talking about this wastage. I wonder she is even aware of this problem. May be the lawyers are very happy to extend EAD for each of us for eternity.
As per murthy bulletin, EB3 India might become unavailable or will stay where it is.. If i interpret correctly. Looks like EB3 will remain the same. Very disappointing.

EAD applied on Jun11th approved at TSC. Received cards yesterday.
To my surprise my EAD is valid for 2 years.
My PD is Nov 2004 EB2
I140 pending at TSC.
I thought 2 year EAD is only for cases that had approved 140. Is it not the case?

I think we should go to USCIS/DOS office. But problem is we have to do this on weekdays and most of member won't be join on weekdays because of work.
If we do on weekend then we will get more response but then offices will be closed unless they working on weekend as they did last weekend.
Are you serious? If people are so much interested in getting a GC and would like to make an impact, a day's work should not be a big deal. Forget the weekend stuff as DC streets have no federal government business on weekends. There are some guys who are willing to drive from NY/NJ/NC.
Even if we take the poll and lets say 500 people would like to come, that number will become 250 or less as most of us will have last minute issues as usual :p

Somehow I dont see how an increase in the H1 quota can negatively affect us EB folk. All I am saying is, let us not totally oppose the H1B increases just because most of us on here already have one. Half of the spouses on here can start working the minute the H1B quota is increased. Moreover stuedents already here can start working and dont have to be at the mercy of the H1b quota to graduate etc.
